fantana06x asked: I currently have 6 seriously delinquent/charged off accounts totaling about $9,000 and one $11,000 car loan that is current and paid on every month. This is technically my only revolving credit. I can’t get a loan anywhere and am denied any type of credit and i don’t own a home. I need to get my debt settled and want to know the best way to to that. I’ve heard conflicting information on charged off accounts. What is the best way to handle these accounts? In particular, I have about 3 accounts with balances over $2,000 that are charged off and some sold to outside collection agencies. My oldest debt is about 3 years. I’ve even heard that charged off accounts should just be left alone as if they will disappear with time! That can’t be true?
Is it better to consolidate all my debt with a non-profit debt consolidation company?
If i choose to negotiate myself can I negotiate directly with the original company for a lower pay off or do I need to negotiate with the outside agency?

Please don’t tell me this is a bad choice, it’s my last resort. I just need to know a place wher I can get approved, no matter the interest rate. NO PAYDAY LOANS PLEASE!

Cutie Pie asked: The current economy is killing me. I’m self-employed, so that always has its ups and downs, but lately it’s all been down. My finances are in a mess and I don’t know what to do about it. Do you recommend consolidating my debts or trying to hold on a little longer to see if the economy picks up?

baby2luv asked: My husband and I adopted three boys and the cost was scattered in many different directions. We need to consolidate all these debts into a debt consolidation. We need about $12,000 to do this. We are working hard to improve our credit and just need a second chance. We both work hard and just want to give these wonderful boys a great life. Only sincere responses please.

poker_fan_in_nyc asked: I heard an ad for CredEx America Inc. and I am thinking of consolidating four of my accounts with them…I just wanted to hear people’s opinion on the company:
CredEx America Inc.
791 Park of Commerce Blvd.
Suite 600
Boca Raton, FL 33487
I already called and spoke to someone…just wanted to get people’s opinion who actually used them…
Is this true: if I consolidate it might harm my credit rating? I wasn’t aware of that…
I don’t use American Express…the four that I want to consolidate are on their “list”

Emily asked: I would like to refinance my home while rates have dropped and also consolidate my credit card debt by rolling it into the mortgage payment. I don’t know much about how any of this works, so any advice is welcome!
